ICE MASTER WORLD CUP 10th EDITION

DAONE VALLEY 14 – 16th January 2011

The Ice Master World Cup competition set in Daone Valley attains this year its 10th edition!

In order to celebrate at best this event for 2011 edition, that will take place from 14th to 16th January, has been built a new equipped wall and infrastructures.

Lots of news for this edition that will be spectacular: the new climbing structure set in Limès in Daone valley, fills up 4500m2 total area and is 18 meters high and 30 metres long. The main climbing wall is divided into three branches with different technical features and connected to the central roof. The two frontal lateral walls (12 metres) will be used for speed competitions while the two mobile lateral walls (8 metres) will be used for training.

Thanks to the original equipment and to the innovative competition format Daone stage can be considered the “queen” of the location where the Ice Master World Cup takes place. A very reference point for more than 100 athletes belonging to 20 different nations. The Ice Master World Cup italian stage, set in Daone as one of the best Italian winter climbing paradise, it’s an important promotion for this spectacular sport because it spurs the technical growth of the followers and the technological solutions testing for new materials.

In 2011 edition we will see the most powerful athletes coming from all over the world. A three day long festival full of events and spectacular competitions with the best ice climbers in the world who will try to win the prestigious World Cup. In order to support them there are a very large number of fans that very year warm up the icy trentino valley.

During the Ice Master World Cup there will be also the “Pareti di cristallo cascatismo meeting”, a very big happening that takes place around the 146 natural waterfalls of the valley. Even this year there will be some interesting events so don’t miss the chance to see the natural beauties of the Daone Valley and Adamello Brenta natural Park.
